A fairly simple story.
Bel Ami opened in 2017 at 34 rue Sergent Blandan, at the foot of Lyon’s Croix-Rousse slopes, a stone’s throw from Place Sathonay.
It started with a very personal wish: to create the bistro we would have loved to go to ourselves. Warm and unpretentious, a place to eat well, drink well and take your time.
Over the years, the cooking has evolved, the cellar has grown, and regulars have made it their own.
It began as a personal project; it has become the place of everyone who brings it to life.
And the spirit has stayed the same.
A lively bistro
Bel Ami lives above all through the people who walk through its door.
Those who come for lunch every week, those discovering the place for the first time, those who come to open a bottle with friends, and those who end up becoming regulars.
But above all, those who work here, in the kitchen and in the dining room: the soul of the place.
